This upcoming Saturday April 20th, A/Q will be on Lake Houston for the 4th of 8 Team events. Laney Construction Company is hosting a BBQ Benefit all day with BBQ sandwich, chips & a soft drink or water for $5.00. This is for a Sheriffs dept. cancer victim.
This Benefit has posted an extra $300.00 for the Big Bass in this event. This will make the 1st Big Bass in this event worth a minimum of $450.00. Lets help them out with this Benefit!!

A/Q Newsletter # 6...3/27/2013
Hi Anglers,
    The Anglers Quest Lake Houston Tuesday evening tournaments began last night with 38 anglers showing up to duke it out for the win. John Littleton & Danny StAndrie won 1st with 5 bass at 16.34 lbs. Donna Behrend had the 1st Big Bass of the event with a fine 4.19 lber. Those of you that have not tried fishing at Lake Houston might want to try it...the fish in Lake Houston have finally grown up and the fishing there is FUN!. A/Q will be back on Lake Houston every Tuesday evening 6:00-9:15 pm for 23 weeks straight with a $90 team entry including Big Bass. Barbara & I would like to wish all of you a very Happy Easter this coming weekend. <>Anglers Quest in an effort to increase entries in the Individual Series events on Lake Livingston & Lake Houston has switched the dates of the 2 series events to make the Individual events not fall on the same weekend as the Team events. The entry fee to these events will remain at $75.00. The 6 remaining Livingston Individual events will be on March 17—April 21—May 26—June 23—July 21—August 18. The 7 remaining Houston Individual events will be on February 17--March 10—April 14—May 19—June 9—July 14—August 4. All scheduled Rayburn events will remain unchanged for 2013. We do hope this change does not cause anyone any inconvenience…we are trying to make these 2 series better for you and A/Q.

A/Q Newsletter # 3...1/6/2013
       Hello Anglers,
    We just wanted to touch bases with you on a few items in the works. First of all, Thanks to all of you that have chosen to fish with A/Q again in 2013. The Livingston Individual event on January 13th was postponed for severe weather and rescheduled for January 27th.
    The TOC has been finalized and will be held on Toledo Bend, hosted from Pendleton Marina on October 23-27...A/Q has all of the rooms blocked at Pendleton Marina for your taking for a great rate of $59.95 + tax per night, first call first served just call 409-625-4912 to reserve your room. This event will be 2 days of practice with 3 days of competition with a cut to the top`12 after Saturday to compete on Sunday for the 12 money spots with a minimum of $10,000.00 going to the winning team. For the TOC there will either be a Side Pot or a Calcutta...let us hear your thoughts and or opinions on which you would prefer please.
     We are looking forward to seeing all of our fishermen & fisher ladies and also meeting some new faces in 2013....see you all at the lakes....

Merry Christmas to all Anglers!
    Our 1st team event of the year takes place on Sam Rayburn in 2 weeks on Saturday January 5th from The Umphrey Pavilion with the Individual event on Sunday January 6th in the same place. The A/Q bus will be at The Pavilion on Friday by noon before event for you to pre enter the weekend events. Both events will be trailoring. Team entry fee is $200.00 & Individual entry is $75.00 with a 87% payback. All anglers must pay a one time $40 membership fee which will cover any of the 76 events that A/Q presnts during the 2013 season on any lake. Team events will payback 1 for every 5 entries with the Individual events paying back 1 for every 7 entries. In 2012 A/Q averaged over 50 Teams per event on Rayburn, we are hoping to TOP that mark for this new season. Alot of you have been calling and asking about the 2013 Tournament of Champions...Well, we are working to take you all to an exciting TOC event on Toledo Bend with a cut to make the final day with all 12 final day spots being paid with $10,000.00 to the Winner! Hello Anglers,
    First of all, Barbara & I would like to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas! We also appreciate all of your participation with Anglers Quest in 2012 and hope you will make plans to choose a team or individual series to participate with A/Q in 2013.
    For 2013 A/Q will again charge a ONE TIME $40 per man membership fee (same as 2012). This fee will cover you for any series you wish to enter during the entire year and will be added back to the Championships that you participate in. 
    Also in 2013 there will be 3 Team Series & 3 Individual Series. One on each of three different lakes...Sam Rayburn, Lake Livingston & Lake Houston. ALL Saturday Team & Individual events will be trailoring events. Once you pre enter event there is no boat check morning of event. There will be 8 tournaments total for each lake with its own Championship. Each series will have 8 T's. You or your team must enter a minimum of 6 of the lakes 8 T's to qualify for the Championship. "Angler of the Year" will be awarded to the individual or team gathering the most pounds during all 8 events. Enter all 8 in any team series and qualify to fish ALL team series Championships. Enter all 8 in any individual series and qualify to fish ALL individual series Championships. Qualify for ANY Championship to go to the Tournament of Champions which will be on TBA on October 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 2013.
